Refreshingly different broking
In partnership with the Institute of Advanced Motorists, LFC Armada Plus is a unique concept that will improve the performance of motor fleets, help commercial clients by reducing associated costs, and provide peace of mind in relation to health and safety issues surrounding fleet drivers.
There is nothing new about driver training; the problem has always been persuading fleet clients to invest in a driver training programme, especially in a difficult economic climate. LFC Armada Plus gets round this obstacle by funding the driver assessment and online training elements of such a programme for fleet clients. The practical side of managing the programme is carried out by the commercial arm of the IAM, Drive and Survive, the market leaders in fleet driver training. LFC are the only brokers working with the IAM on this initiative.
LFC Insurance is an independent commercial broking Group based in Essex and Sussex and are happy to add value for clients in this way. As MD Jerry Clayton said, "By working in partnership with seven leading insurers, and the IAM, we are confident that we have demonstrated our commitment to the effective risk management of motor fleets, by putting our money where our mouth is".
In cases where high risk drivers are identified by the online assessment, Drive and Survive will offer tailored on-road coaching for those drivers, at the client’s expense. This is a recommended, but not compulsory, part of the programme.
Clayton continued, "We would very much like to thank our insurer partners for their commitment to this idea. By jointly working on the LFC Armada Plus programme, we fully expect the fleet underwriting results for insurers to improve and their contribution in this respect is appreciated. Together we hope to ensure that all parties involved benefit including, of course, the road users of Britain through improved road safety".
